CapScout ("we", "us") provides AI-powered real estate investment analysis. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to capscout.ai and the CapScout application.
Information we collect
- Account information you provide: name, email, and password (passwords are stored only as salted hashes).
- Investor profile and inputs you enter: search criteria, buy-box settings, saved searches, and calculator assumptions.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, and analyses run, used to operate and improve the service.
- Payment data: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not see or store full card numbers.
How we use information
To provide and secure the service, generate analyses, meter credit usage, process payments, send service and (with your consent) marketing email, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
To deliver analyses we share the minimum necessary data with service providers, including a third-party AI provider (for the ScoutSense analysis), RentCast (property and market data), and public data sources (FEMA, US Census, FHFA). Billing is processed by Stripe. Each provider handles data under its own terms.
Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Data retention and security
We retain account and analysis data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it. We apply industry-standard safeguards, though no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Your choices
